The M5Stack Kmeter Isolation Unit with Thermocouple Temperature Sensor (MAX31855) is an integrated unit that combines the functionalities of data acquisition, isolation, and communication. It employs a K-type thermocouple sensor and utilizes the STM32F030+MAX31855KASA+T 14bit thermocouple digital conversion chip scheme for high-precision temperature acquisition and conversion. The microcontroller unit (MCU) uses STM32F030 for data acquisition and I2C communication interface, while the CA-IS3641HW serves as a signal isolator.
The unit is designed to support the connection to thermocouple probes with a measurement range of -200 to 1350 °C. It features a universal standard K-type flat interface, which facilitates the easy replacement of different measuring probes to cater to various requirements. This module finds extensive application in scenarios such as temperature collection, control, and monitoring across diverse fields including industrial automation, instrumentation, power and electrical, and heat treatment.
